Although I don't care for the border Doug, I absolutely love this photo. This is a Tulip Tree or Yellow Poplar(Liriodendron tulipifera) ... my favorite tree. I had dug several from the woods and planted them in my yard years ago. The flowers on them are incredible but are not produced until the tree has aged several years. The flowers sort of look like tulips but are a mango color. The leaves become huge on this tree ... especially if it's growing in the shade and turn a brilliant yellow in the fall. Go back and see this tree and find a mature one in June. Maybe you'll find some with the flowers which are usually high in the branches.
